About the Experience
Whakapaumahara Marae are inviting visitors to join them in Whananaki where they will be hosting a kaitiaki project to restore the awa and the whenua. If you are a keen conservationist, this experience is for you. As a visitor, you will be welcomed into the marae with a powhiri, you will share a kai together and work the land together, laying down a nursery which will grow plants used for traditional rongoa practice.
Items you will need to bring
Warm comfortable cloting, walking shoes and a sun hat
What the host will provide
Lunch & Dinner will be provided as well as water and tools, materials needed.
Cancellation & Refund Policy
An experience is refundable if:
There will be a 2.9% admin fee payable for ALL cancellations, this fee is to cover processing and administration costs involved.
Please allow up to 10 days for all refunds to processed. Refunds will be returned to the original credit card used for the booking.
Cancellations related to weather
Hosts plan for changes in the weather and will try to continue the experience as planned, even in bad weather. If severe weather conditions make it unsafe for you and your host to continue as scheduled, the host may adjust the itinerary or reschedule the experience. If the experience is substantially changed or cancelled altogether and cannot be rescheduled, you can contact us to request a refund.
