About the Experience
A Marae like experience at home.
Part 1: Powhiri. Traditional Maori welcome ceremony
Explanation and translation of what a powhiri protocol is.
Mihi Whakatau: Traditional welcome speeches and exchanging of breath (hongi).
Part 2: Explanation of Marae Culture and function. Traditional Interactive native games.
Shared waiata: and explanation of Maori mantra and Spirit dance.
Kai: Break for traditional kai
Part 3: Spirit dance and Maori Mantra workshop
What the Manuhiri will leave with, will be an understanding of a Powhiri that would be expected on a marae and the different parts to the Marae. The Essence of marae culture ie: Waiata, games and protocols. Karakia and some familiar Kai often shared with whanau on marae. A Look into wairua ,Essence of Spirit through dance and Music using our own Maori fusion style and Mantra to support dancing/moving through the bodies energy [Chakra] field. The healing benefits of Spiritdance and relaxation and meditation practice. A natural and safe Home environment with an abundance of Aroha to take away and share with others on their journey.
Items you will need to bring
Towel, drink bottle, sweater , comfy clothes to move in, sunblock and hat in summer.
What the host will provide
We will provide kai, morning and afternoon tea and refreshments, cutlery, utensils, bathroom.

Cancellation & Refund Policy
An experience is refundable if:
There will be a 2.9% admin fee payable for ALL cancellations, this fee is to cover processing and administration costs involved.
Please allow up to 10 days for all refunds to processed. Refunds will be returned to the original credit card used for the booking.
Cancellations related to weather
Hosts plan for changes in the weather and will try to continue the experience as planned, even in bad weather. If severe weather conditions make it unsafe for you and your host to continue as scheduled, the host may adjust the itinerary or reschedule the experience. If the experience is substantially changed or cancelled altogether and cannot be rescheduled, you can contact us to request a refund.
