Merve & Rangimārie Merve & Rangimārie

When you book an experience with us, you are supporting a small family, indigenous tourism business.

Kia ora, we are a young (well our kids are) local Maori family, born and bred in our tribal areas of Te Tai Tokerau – Northland, New Zealand.  Our home, Whangarei is the most northern city of New Zealand and situated on the main State Highway 1 through to the Bay of Islands.

Your hosts, Mervyn and Rangimarie Harding, along with our five children, Rangimarie, Stella, Anahera, Rakena, Manuao and cuzzie Puingahei make up our little family business, Tu Tika Tours.

We love meeting people from all around the world and sharing our world, Te Ao Maori – The Maori world view in a very personal and meaningful way.

Northland showcases some of the most beautiful coastlines and landscapes in the world, wait till you meet the beautiful indigenous people that go with it……yes us!  The Harding family.

“TU TIKA” – meaning  STAND TRUE

The name of our business reflects the integrity and truth that we stand by.  We live and breathe everything we share with you, be it the good, the bad, or the ugly.

Our purpose
To provide our visitors with a truly authentic connection to our whanau family and home by promoting whakawhanaungatanga – building ever lasting relationships through shared experiences.
