Leonard Naera
Hi I’m Leonard Naera. I was born and bred in Auckland however my whanau has lived in the Hokianga for hundreds of years. In 2017, my wife Antoinette, and I chose to leave the city and move to the Hokianga. Not too sure of what to do, our love of people has brought us to the tourism industry. We have a history of being the “hub” of our family and friends. Whenever there was a gathering organised it would normally take place at our home. We welcome the opportunity to share our stories with you and also hear of some of your stories. Lots of our stories are “our stories” that have been passed down from generation to generation and not found in history books nor taught at school. We are passionate about our home and our beautiful area and we relish in the chance to share the awesome history with all our manuhiri that take the break and come here to see what the sensational west coast as to offer… so you will arrive as visitors and leave as whanau.
